Dieses im ersten Semester des Masterstudiums zu besuchende Seminar dient der Orientierung und Einführung sowie der individuellen Studienberatung. Zu Beginn des Semesters werden u.a. Fragen zum Aufbau und zur Durchführung des Studiums behandelt; es werden die Studieninhalte, Module und Profile des Fachs vorgestellt sowie Berufsbilder und -chancen besprochen. Darüber hinaus werden die spezifischen Anforderungen eines (deutschen) fachwissenschaftlichem Studiums auf Masterebene erarbeitet, u.a. indem wissenschaftliche Arbeitstechniken eines Masterstudiums (z.B. wissenschaftliche Recherchen und deren Dokumentation) behandelt und geübt werden.
