Das Seminar gibt theoretische und praktisch-experimentelle Einblicke in Forschungsfelder der systematischen Kunst- und Musikwissenschaft mit Bezügen zur Psychologie und Soziologie. Darüber hinaus werden Grundlagen des wissenschaftlichen Arbeitens in Kunst und Musik eingeführt und an ausgewählten Fachtexten geübt.
Anhand von Grundlagentexten und praxisnahen Übungen werden Aspekte der Wahrnehmung des Menschen sowie Wirkungs- und Transfereffekte akustischer und visueller Phänomene untersucht. Dabei finden die physiologischen und entwicklungspsychologischen Voraussetzungen besondere Beachtung im Seminar. Weiterhin werden Charakteristika der einzelnen Künste und ihre Verankerung in der Gesellschaft zu unterschiedlichen Zeiten und Epochen untersucht.
Das Einführungsseminar soll Studierende befähigen, wissenschaftliche Texte analysieren und interpretieren zu können sowie Inhalte fachwissenschaftlicher Studien Impulsreferat zusammenfassend präsentieren zu können.
