Das Seminar beleuchtet Fragen der Entwicklung einer Fragestellung, des Feldzugangs und der Datenerhebung im Rahmen institutioneller Kontexte. Die Daten sollen konversationsanalytisch oder ethnomethodologisch auswertbar sein, d.h., es wird Wert auf ihren natürlichen (d.h. nichtexperimentellen, nichtinszenierten) Charakter gelegt. Dabei werden zunächst Grundlagen der ethnomethodologischen Forschung vermittelt bzw. vertieft, Schwerpunkt wird aber auf der angeleiteten Konzeption und eigenständigen Durchführung eigener Forschungsvorhaben in einem institutionellen Feld liegen. Hierzu gehören der Feldzugang, die Datenerhebung, Transkription oder Dokumentation und erste Analyseschritte.
