Una característica muy interesante del sistema universitario alemán es el discurso sobre la "idea de la Universidad" que ha acompañado las dos fases de la reforma en los últimos cincuenta años. En este curso estudiaremos cómo se ha desarrollado el discurso sobre la "idea de la Universidad" en los últimos ciento cincuenta años en España y hasta qué punto se reflejan en él las controversias generadas en los sistemas universitarios de los países de habla alemana, inglesa y francesa.
