Im Kurs werden die 'klassischen' Texte der politischen Theorie des Mittelalters gelesen (Texte von Augustinus, Dionysius Araeopagita, John of Salisbury, Thomas von Aquin, Marsilius von Padua, Aegidius Romanus, Dante, Wilhelm von Ockham, Nikolaus von Kues, Machiavelli, Locke). Unterstützt von wissenschaftlicher Grundlagenliteratur zu jedem Autor sollten in der Textlektüre die Grundzüge der politischen Diskussionen herausgearbeitet werden.
