The seminar is aimed at doctoral and advanced master students of the faculty of sociology, the faculty of education and neighbouring disciplines interests in research on social and political polarization. The event is intended to discuss questions concerning, among other things, questions of what influence the social context has on orientations towards democracy or anti-democratic attitudes, which social milieus are susceptible to contradict civil society orientations, and where and when populism is successful. The seminar is aimed at doctoral and advanced master students who are interested in quantitative research.
A seminar schedule will be assigned at the beginning of the seminar. The seminar will be held in English in order to give participants who are not fluent in German the chance to participate. If interested, it is advisable to contact the lecturers in advance.
