Da Jugend ein gesellschaftlich bedingtes Phänomen ist, zeigt die Geschichte der Jugend anschaulich, wie unterschiedliche historische Umstände des Aufwachsens auch unterschiedliche Jugendformationen hervorbringen. Geschichte der Jugend heißt in dieser Veranstaltung nicht nur, die Genese von Jugend der letzten Zeit zu rekonstruieren. Vielmehr reicht der Blick zurück bis in die Antike.
