Die Vorlesung behandelt im Detail die Methoden zur Steurerung und Überwachung von Prozessen mit Mikroorganismen und Zellkulturen und zur Identifizierung und Charakterisierung von Makromolekülen (besonders Peptide/Proteine). Insbesondere werden Methoden zur Proteinsequenzierung besprochen, wobei fortgeschrittene, moderne Analysetechniken wie Massenspektrometrie, Kernresonanzspektroskopie, Röntgenstrukturanalyse, Elektronenmikroskopie etc. erläutert werden.

Im Seminar werden die aktuellsten Messmethoden von Studierenden an Beispielen vorgestellt.
