Aus der aktuellen Forschungsarbeit werden Fragestellungen zur Steuerung von Promoteren kernkodierter Gene bearbeitet. Das einsetzbare Methodenspektrum erstreckt sich von der Analyse von Reportergenpflanzen und einschlägigen Mutanten über Yeast-One- und Two-Hybridstudien zu Enhancer-Tagging und in-vitro-Analysen (z.B. EMSA und DNA-Protein-Affinitätschromatographie). Die Übung richtet sich an fortgeschrittene Studierende mit starkem molekularbiologisch-physiologischen Interesse.
