Die rasante Entwicklung im Bereich der neuen Technologien lädt Lernende und Lehrende zu immer neuen Formen der Nutzung von Online-Medien für das Fremdsprachenlernen ein. Mittlerweile kann man E-mail und Chat fast schon als "traditionelle" Neue Medien betrachten. Auch Weblogs und Webquests wurden bereits für Zwecke des Fremdsprachenlernens adaptiert.
Welches Potenzial steckt in diesen und anderen Online-Medien und wie kann man es für das Lehren und Lernen im Fach Deutsch als Fremd- und Zweitsprache nutzen? Welche Konzepte der Medienforschung und der Mediendidaktik können Lehrende beim unterrichtlichen Einsatz der Medien unterstützen? Diese und weitere Fragen sollen im Seminar im Wechsel zwischen praktischer Arbeit und wissenschaftlicher Reflexion behandelt werden.
