Das Seminar befasst sich mit dem Zusammenhang von sozialer Ungleichheit und Geschlecht und fragt nach Kontinuität, aber auch nach dem Abbau geschlechtsspezifischer Ungleichheiten und nach Überschneidungen geschlechts-spezifischer Ungleichheit mit anderen Differenzkategorien. Analysiert werden strukturelle Entwicklungstendenzen im Bereich Arbeitsmarkt, Organisationen, Bildung und Familie; ebenfalls in den Blick genommen werden kulturelle Deutungen des Zusammenhangs von sozialer Ungleichheit und Geschlecht. Das Seminar gibt einen Überblick über zentrale Theorieansätze zum Zusammenhang von sozialer Ungleichheit und Geschlecht.
