392276 Projekt "Hardware-beschleunigte Bildverarbeitung für mobile Roboter" (Pj) (SoSe 2013)

FPGA-basierte Architekturen eignen sich aufgrund ihrer massiven Parallelität bei gleichzeitig hoher Ressourceneffizienz insbesondere für den Einsatz als Hardwarebeschleuniger im Bereich der Bildverarbeitung in mobilen Systemen. Im Rahmen dieses Projekts sollen verschiedene Werkzeuge (Vivado HLS, Catapult C, etc.) zur automatischen Übersetzung von in Hochsprachen wie C/C++ geschriebenen Bildverarbeitungsalgorithmen in Hardwarebeschreibungs-sprachen wie VHDL oder Verilog evaluiert und mit für die Zielplattform optimierten Code verglichen werden. Als Testplattform dienen dabei die FPGA-basierte Prototyping Plattform RAPTOR und das mobile Robotersystem AMiRo.

Requirements for participation, required level

- Grundkenntnisse in C/C++
- Interesse an Bildverarbeitungsalgorithmen, idealerweise bereits abgeschlossene Prüfungsleistungen des Moduls „Bildverarbeitung“
- Es sind KEINE Kenntnisse über Hardware erforderlich
