The objective of this student-led study group is to discover and explore the history of North America via documents. But never fear, the amount of reading will be manageable. We will be looking at five different key documents from different episodes in history. First, we will examine the documents and their respective histories and attempt an analysis of each, then discuss them from today’s point of view in terms of their historical contexts and impact on contemporary America. As we will be working together as a group, we will decide together on the types of contributions participants should make.
Everybody is welcome to join our journey - one that starts with a ship called the Mayflower.
