Advanced Academic Writing (AAW) is designed as the finishing module element in PM3 and is targeted at students who have written the BM2 module paper and have studied at least two of the three other PM3 module elements. The seminar is a hands-on writing workshop, offering you the chance to
- work toward the successful completion of your individual PM3 module papers
- discuss the writing process/outcome with peers and the lecturer
- re-work your paper's outline/structure
- formulate thesis statement(s)
- practice coherence and cohesion in building arguments and writing the overall paper and, ideally,
- to write your module paper (or a major part of it) by the end of the semester.
Practical tips and complementary writing tools incorporated in the seminar are meant to assist you with your individual writing projects for a PM3 module paper in literary and cultural studies (NOT linguistics).

The binding module descriptions contain further information, including specifications on the "types of assignments" students need to complete. In cases where a module description mentions more than one kind of assignment, the respective member of the teaching staff will decide which task(s) they assign the students.
