Die Veranstaltung, die Elemente einer Vorlesung und eines Seminars verknüpfen soll, wird einen Überblick über die deutsche Literatur des 19. Jahrhunderts geben und sich dabei auf die Gattung der Erzählung / Novelle konzentrieren. Wir werden folgende Texte gemeinsam lesen und besprechen:
- Johann Wolfgang von Goethe: Novelle
- Heinrich von Kleist: Das Erdbeben von Chili
- E.T.A. Hoffmann: Das öde Haus
- Georg Büchner: Lenz
- Franz Grillparzer: Der arme Spielmann
- Adalbert Stifter: Die Narrenburg
- Gottfried Keller: Hadlaub
- Gerhart Hauptmann: Bahnwärter Thiel
- Thomas Mann: Tristan
- Hugo von Hofmannsthal: Soldatengeschichte
Ihre Lektüre vor Beginn des Semesters wird dringend empfohlen.
Benotete Leistungsscheine können nur durch Gruppenreferate erworben werden, die im Anschluss zu individuellen Hausarbeiten ausgebildet werden müssen.
