Man benötigt heutzutage nicht viel mehr als einen handelsüblichen Computer, ein entsprechendes Programm und ein wenig Geschick im Umgang mit Technik, um Musik und Kompositionen in guter Qualität umsetzen zu können. Je nach Anspruch gibt es zahllose Möglichkeiten der Musikeinspielung, vom einfachen Keyboard und Mikrophon bis zum digitalen Sound- und MIDI-Interface.
In diesem Seminar sollen allgemeine und praktische Grundkenntnisse für Musik mit und am Computer vermittelt werden. Hierzu zählen theoretisches Basiswissen über Klangverarbeitung und Musikwiedergabe sowie Erfahrungen in Aufnahmetechniken und Soundbearbeitung. Die Ausstattung des Tonstudios und des Medialabors werden für dieses Seminar zur Verfügung gestellt.
Darüber hinaus steht dieser Kurs in Verbindung mit den Veranstaltungen zum Thema „Kulturhauptstadt Europa Ruhr.2010“. Ein Ziel des Seminars ist es, die Kenntnisse und Erfahrungen in einem praktischen Projekt zum Thema umzusetzen. Am 3. – 5. Juni 2010 werden wir (zusammen mit den Seminaren 381001 und 381025) einige Veranstaltungen im Ruhrgebiet besuchen, die Anreize und Material für das Projekt geben sollen.
