300114 Klassische Religionssoziologie um 1900 (S) (SoSe 2008)

Wie wenige spezielle Soziologien sonst ist die Religionssoziologie bis heute zurückverwiesen auf die europäische Gründer- und Klassikergenaration um1900. Sowohl Émile Durkheim wie Georg Simmel wie auch Max Weber haben sich in erheblichem Maße religionssoziologisch engagiert; bei Durkheim wie bei Weber steht das letzte Lebensjahrzehnt ganz nachdrücklich im Zeichen der Religionssoziologie, wobei es allerdings um zwei ganz heterogene Religionssoziologien geht. Die Veranstaltung ist bemüht, das religionssoziologische Werk von Simmel, Durkheim und Weber in seinen jeweiligen Grundzügen und Wirkungen zu erschließen.
