Die Lehrveranstaltung soll sowohl in die Sprachwissenschaft generell als auch in die Spezifika der Linguistik des Deutschen einführen. Dabei stehen folgende Frage- und Problemstellungen im Mittelpunkt der Betrachtung:

  • Laienlinguistik und wissenschaftliche Linguistik
  • Grundzüge der Zeichentheorie
  • Wie kommt der Mensch zur Sprache?
  • Das Deutsche und die Sprachen der Welt
  • Das Deutsche im Kontext der indoeuropäischen Sprachen
  • Das Deutsche im Kontext der germanischen Sprachen
  • Sprachvarietäten und Sprachvariation
  • Die sprachlichen Ebenen und ihre wissenschaftliche Betrachtung:
  • Phonetik
  • Phonologie
  • Morphologie
  • Syntax
  • Texttheorie
  • Pragmatik
