Studentinnen und Studenten können:

  • grundlegende Bestandteile von Kulturmedien benennen
  • stoffwechselbedingte Kulturvoraussetzungen und Parameter aufzählen
  • Wachstumsphasen einer Bakterienkultur nennen
  • Operonstruktur der bakteriellen Gene erläutern
  • Prinzip der Substratinduktion, Endproduktrepression und Katabolitrepression erklären
  • die Biochemie von Prioren erläutern und Beispiele für Prionenerkankungen des Menschen, sowie Therapiemassnahmen nennen



Im Rahmen der Lehreinheit werden Grundlagen der Bakterienkultur und Wachstumsbedingungen vorgestellt, sowie Methoden zur Isolierung und Anzucht von Mikroorganismen. Bakterielle Genstruktur"�und Genregulation"�werden ebenfalls thematisiert, darunter Unterschieden zwischen Pro- und Eukaryoten, sowie negative und positive Regulation der Transkription.

Im Rahmen der zweiten Lehreinheit werden entartete Proteine, Prionen präsentiert, sowie die Creutzfeldt-Jacob-Krankheit als Beispiel für Prionenerkrankungen behandelt.
