Ausgangspunkt für die Veranstaltung ist die Debatte um Unternehmenskultur. Aus soziologischer Perspektive werden unterschiedliche Konzeptualisierungen des Verhältnisses von Kultur und Wirtschaftsorganisationen vorgestellt und diskutiert. Fragen wie die folgenden stehen dabei im Zentrum: Welche Funktion hat Kultur für Wirtschaftsorganisationen? Was ist überhaupt unter Kultur zu verstehen? Auf welcher Ebene sollte Kultur in den Blick genommen werden – auf gesamtgesellschaftlicher, sektoraler, organisationaler Ebene? Auf der Ebene von Abteilungen, Interaktionsbeziehungen oder Personen? Und welche Rolle spielen Globalisierungsprozesse für das Verhältnis von Kultur und Organisation?

Die Seminarliteratur wird im Stud.IP elektronisch zur Verfügung gestellt. Weiterführende Literatur wird in einem Semesterapparat zusammengestellt.

Eine benotete Einzelleistung kann in Form einer schriftlichen Hausarbeit erbracht werden.
