209505 Mastermodul E: "Evolution of Behaviour" (V+Pr) (SoSe 2024)

In this course on the evolution of animal behaviour we teach the basics of evolutionary biology, and how science works in general. In order to start working on these topics and deepen their knowledge of these topics, the attending students will develop on their own or in small groups hypotheses for specific insect systems on the evolution of behaviour. With our help, they will design experiments to test these, and run short preliminary experiments. The received data have to be analysed, drafts of a proposal for the chosen study have to be submitted, and on the last day of the course, all participants will give oral presentations of their projects.
