Das WWW (World Wide Web; häufig kurz Web genannt) spielt für viele Menschen eine immer bedeutendere Rolle und zwar sowohl in ihrem privaten, aber auch in ihrem beruflichen Umfeld. In der Veranstaltung soll der Frage nachgegangen werden, inwieweit das im Bereich des Webdesigns technisch Machbare auch kognitionspsychologisch sinnvoll ist, d.h. den spezifischen Eigenschaften des Menschen entspricht, von außen kommende Informationen zweckdienlich zu verarbeiten. Das Studium des unten genannten Buches, in dem zum Teil recht provokante (und sicher diskussionswürdige) Thesen vertreten werden, soll bei der Beantwortung dieser Frage helfen.
