Die Veranstaltung richtet sich an Bachelorstudierende des Kern- und Nebenfaches Geschichte, die eine Profilbildung für das Lehramt an Grund-, Haupt- und Realschulen (Schwerpunkt: Grundschule) anstreben. Für den fächerübergreifenden Sachunterricht in der Primarstufe ist das Thema „Wikinger“ unter dem Aspekt der Gesellschaftslehre (Geschichte, Soziologie, Wirtschaft, Geographie) zu bearbeiten, sind in einem ersten Abschnitt Sachinformationen zusammenzutragen (Gesellschaft, Siedlungswesen, Expansionen, Bewaffnung, heutiger Tourismus etc. etc). Diese sind dann in einem zweiten Abschnitt der Veranstaltung didaktisch/methodisch für den Unterricht in Grundschulen aufzuarbeiten. Am Ende sollte jeder Studierende sehr viele Sachinformationen und zusätzlich eine komplett vorbereitete UE (inkl. Arbeitsblätter usw.) vorliegen haben.
