300107 Risiko und regulativer Prozess (S) (WiSe 2013/2014)

Der gesellschaftliche Umgang mit Risiken hat die allgemeinen Fragen nach Sicherheit und akzeptablen Risiken aufgeworfen, aber auch spezifischere, beispielsweise wer für Risiken zuständig ist, wie (und von wem) das erforderliche regulative Wissen bereitgestellt wird und welche regulativen Instrumente sich als angemessen erweisen. Zu diesen Fragestellungen soll einerseits die relevante Regulierungsliteratur gelesen werden. Die Fragestellungen werden andererseits in zwei prominenten Theorien reflektiert, in der Luhmann’schen Systemtheorie und der Beck’schen Theorie der Risikogesellschaft.

Ziel dieses Seminars ist es, den regulativen Umgang mit Risiken in seiner Entwicklung seit den 1970er Jahren zu rekonstruieren und soziologisch zu reflektieren
