Forschungsevaluation setzt sich als wesentliches Instrument der Ressourcenallokation auch in Deutschland durch. In diesem Seminar werden die Erfahrungen mit Forschungsevaluation als forschungspolitischen Instrument aus Großbritannien und den skandinavischen Ländern reflektiert und die institutionelle und verfahrensmäßigen Entwicklungen in Deutschland beleuchtet. Dabei steht die Verfahren der Forschungsevaluation, die zur Identifikation von Exzellenzuniversitäten führten, im Mittelpunkt des empirischen Interesses.
