Das Seminar befasst sich mit dem Zusammenhang von sozialer Ungleichheit und Geschlecht und fragt nach Kontinuität, aber auch nach dem Abbau geschlechtsspezifischer Ungleichheiten und nach Überschneidungen geschlechtsspezifischer Ungleichheit mit anderen Differenzkategorien. Analysiert werden strukturelle Entwicklungstendenzen im Bereich Arbeitsmarkt, Organisationen, Bildung und Familie; ebenfalls in den Blick genommen werden kulturelle Deutungen des Zusammenhangs von sozialer Ungleichheit und Geschlecht. Das Seminar gibt einen Überblick über zentrale Theorieansätze zum Zusammenhang von sozialer Ungleichheit und Geschlecht.
