Die Vorlesung befasst sich im einzelnen mit Konzentrierungsmethoden von Proteinen in wässrigen Lösungen, Trennung von Proteinen nach ihren Eigenschaften, Trennung durch chromatographische Verfahren, Bestimmung der Eigenschaften der Proteine über elektrophoretische Verfahren und Bestimmung der biologischen Aktivität der Proteine durch biologische Tests.
Grundkenntnisse in Biologie und/oder Biochemie sind wünschenswert, da sie das Verständnis der vorgestellten Themenbereiche erleichtern.
