Schulorganisatorische Rahmensetzungen, Leitbilder guten Unterrichts und die Schul- und Unterrichtskultur der Einzelschule sind wichtige Voraussetzungen, um eine gute Lehrerin oder ein guter Lehrer sein zu können. "Wie wird man aber ein guter Lehrer oder eine gute Lehrerin"? Diese Frage bezieht sich auf die Berufsbiographie, auf Fragen der Lehrerausbildung und auf den Erwerb von Reflexionsfähigkeit. Dass Lehrer ihren Unterricht erforschen und ein Schülerfeedback einholten, wird immer bedeutsamer, um ein guter Lehrer zu bleiben. Dabei gewinnen die Stützsysteme des Lehrerberufs und das berufslange Lernen gegenüber der Erstausbildung zunehmend an Bedeutung.
