Der Kurs richtet sich an internationale Studierende, die die Grundstufe Deutsch ("Zertifikat Deutsch") erfolgreich abgeschlossen haben. Die landeskundlichen Themen dieses Kurses orientieren sich an aktuellen Ereignissen aus Gesellschaft, Politik, Hochschule und Kultur. Des Weiteren werden die grammatischen Strukturen dem Mittelstufenniveau entsprechend erweitert. Die kommunikativen Fähigkeiten zur Bewältigung unterschiedlichster Situationen in Universität und Alltag werden ausführlich behandelt und geübt.
Der Kurs ist an das Niveau B2 nach dem Europäischen Referenzrahmen angelehnt. Auf Wunsch kann er mit einer Prüfung abgeschlossen werden.
