Das Seminar ist für fortgeschrittene Studenten und für Mitglieder der Arbeitsgruppe gedacht. Dazu werden neuere Veröffentlichungen zu den Gebieten Schwermetall- und Halophytenökologie, Landschaftsökologie und Naturschutz, Tropenökologie, Sanddünen- und Wüstenökologie, den derzeitigen Arbeitsgebieten der Abteilung ausgewertet. Die Teilnehmer müssen Originalarbeiten erfassen und in größerem Zusammenhang diskutieren. Insbesondere wird über hauseigene Examens-, Diplom- und Promotionsarbeiten berichtet, und es werden Forschungsergebnisse aus der eigenen Arbeitsgruppe vorgestellt.
