Ziel: Die Veranstaltung setzt die Kenntnisse aus der Grundlagenveranstaltung voraus. Die Veranstaltung bietet eine Einführung in die demographische Migrationsanalyse. Es werden sowohl theoretische Konzepte zur Analyse von Wanderungen als auch grundlegende methodische Analyseverfahren behandelt. Die Veranstaltung bezieht sich sowohl auf internationale als auch auf Binnenwanderungen. Im Hinblick auf die demographischen Konsequenzen von Wanderungen werden regionale Verflechtungen und Unterschiede der Bevölkerungsentwicklungen analysiert. Am Beispiel von UN-Daten werden hierzu kleinere empirische Analysen durchgeführt.
