Unterrichten ist mehr als das bloße Austeilen von Arbeitsblättern aus Kopiervorlagen der Schulbuchverlage und mehr als das Schichten von "Bausteinen". Unterrichten ist vielmehr das Resultat anspruchsvoller Reflexion und ihrer ebenso anspruchsvollen Umsetzung in didaktisches Lehrerhandeln. Dies differenziert und unterrichtswissenschaftlich kompetent - im Schülerinteresse - zu leisten, dabei helfen didaktische Modelle, die im Seminar vorgestellt und anhand von Beispielen konkretisiert werden sollen, so zum Beispiel die Lektionspädagogik der Herbartianer, ausgewählte reformpädagogische Konzepte der "Neuen Schule", die bildungs- und die lerntheoretische Didaktik sowie der lernzielorientierte Unterricht.
