250385 Winter School "Pedagogies of Play: Innovative Approaches to Learning and Teaching" (BS) (WiSe 2022/2023)

Play is often neglected in education, and there is little agreement on its contribution to learners’ progress. This winter school aims to explore the multiple relations which could be established between play and learning. It addresses both education for children and adults and focuses on the innovative dimensions of the pedagogies of play. During the week, we will discuss several questions such as: Is play opposed to work, therefore, to learning? What can teachers and educators do to develop more playful approaches in various educational settings? How can playful learning support more equity and inclusivity in schools and universities?
The winter school is a compact course with lectures on specific topics, self-organised projects, discussions and individual work. International guest lecturers will be invited for theoretical and pedagogical inputs.
