Explanation regarding the elements of the module

Notes on course and examination selection

• The following examinations must be taken in this module:
  1. a practical teaching examination in the course "Teaching-related competences"
  2. one practical examination in the courses "Practical course didactics and methodology of physical education"
  3. seven theory examinations in the compulsory courses "Didactics and Methodology of Physical Education Practical Course"
  4. the propaedeutic course in sports motor skills (ungraded)
• The practical sports examinations (practical examination/s and practical teaching examination/s) of the modules DM-1 and DM-3 must be chosen from three different areas (1-10).
• The compulsory elective courses of the modules DM-1 and DM-3 are to be chosen from two different areas (1-10).
• Practical examinations are not possible in the following compulsory courses: training in school sport, movement games/team games and psychomotor skills.
• In the compulsory elective area, it is not possible to take an examination in all courses.

Reasons for the necessity of several module examinations

In the seminars, didactic-methodological and movement-theoretical aspects of the respective sport and movement field are taught in an integrative manner and the sport-specific performance and technique are also trained. For technical and organisational reasons, a separate examination of the individual aspects of competence acquisition (motor skills, teaching skills, subject-specific knowledge) is necessary in the sport and movement fields. For this purpose, exemplary practical and teaching competences are tested for one sport and movement field each. The number of individual examinations in the theoretical area results from the high degree of event-related specificity of knowledge about movement and its teaching and the non-transferable application contexts. This is met by individual short examinations for the respective events.
