Der Bachelorstudiengang „Spanisch / Nebenfach (Lehramt)“ sieht neben der Vermittlung fachdidaktischer Kenntnisse und Fähigkeiten ein breit angelegtes Grundlagenstudium des Spanischen im Bereich der Literatur-, Kultur- und Medienwissenschaft sowie der Sprach- und der Geschichtswissenschaft vor. Dabei ist das wissenschaftliche Interesse nicht auf Spanien begrenzt, sondern bezieht in Forschung und Lehre auch die Sprache, Kulturen und Literaturen Lateinamerikas mit ein.
Integrativer Bestandteil der Lehramtsausbildung ist des Weiteren die Vermittlung fundierter Kenntnisse der spanischen Sprache (in den Bereichen der mündlichen und schriftlichen Produktion, des Hör- sowie des Leseverstehens). Empfohlen ist darüber hinaus ein mehrmonatiger Aufenthalt im spanischsprachigen Ausland (als Studienaufenthalt, Praktikum, Fremdsprachenassistenz o.ä.).
In der Verbindung der verschiedenen Disziplinen erwerben die Studierenden ein tiefergehendes Verständnis der spanischen bzw. spanischsprachigen Kulturen, umfassende Sprachkenntnisse ebenso wie vielfältige textanalytische und medien(kultur)wissenschaftliche Kompetenzen. Ziel ist, sie zu einer selbstständigen und didaktisch reflektierten Auseinandersetzung mit hispanistischen Themenfeldern zu befähigen, ihnen ein vertieftes Verständnis für aktuelle Fragen des interkulturellen Zusammenlebens moderner Gesellschaften zu vermitteln und sie so für eine berufliche Tätigkeit in einem internationalen kulturellen Umfeld zu qualifizieren.

Studies can be commenced in both winter and summer semesters. Courses are targeted to commencing studies in winter semester. Student counselling to plan the course of studies is recommended.

The studies Minor Subject (Advanced Secondary and Comprehensive Schools ('Gymnasium' and 'Gesamtschule')) Spanish comprise 60 credit points.

Access to the Bachelor programme is granted to those who have a university entrance qualification suitable for Germany (e. g. German ‘Abitur’).

Approval for certain modules requires proof of linguistic aptitude in the form of knowledge at level B1 of the "Common European Framework of Reference for Languages". Proof should be provided by means of a language test.

The study places are not subject to any admission restrictions (numerus clausus). Nevertheless, you need to apply within the currently applicable application deadlines. Afterwards, however, you can submit your application for enrolment directly in the application and status portal, provided that you meet the access requirements.
