Competencies

Studierende sollen ein solides Verständnis wichtiger wirtschaftlicher Phänomene, wie Wachstum, Konjunktur, Inflation und Unterbeschäftigung erlangen. Sie sollen die Fähigkeit erlangen, makroökonomische Argumente und Modelle kompetent einzusetzen, um die Wirkung wirtschaftspolitischer Maßnahmen einzuschätzen.

Content of teaching

Dieses Modul bietet eine Einführung in die Methoden der Analyse makroökonomischer wirtschaftlicher Prozesse und zeigt auf, welche Erkenntnisse über volkswirtschaftliche Prozesse und Zusammenhänge mit diesen Methoden erlangt werden können. Studierende werden dabei mit den wichtigsten makroökonomischen Modellansätzen und deren empirischer Relevanz vertraut gemacht. In der Einführung in die Wirtschaftspolitik werden basierend auf makro- und mikroökonomischen Modellen die Wirkungen wirtschaftspolitischer Eingriffe in den Ablauf ökonomischer Prozesse untersucht sowie bezüglich ihrer Wirkung auf die Wohlfahrt diskutiert.
