Transitional regulations

Dieser Eintrag basiert auf den Fächerspezifischen Bestimmungen (FsB) für das Fach Wirtschaftsmathematik vom 16.09.2019 mit Änderungen vom 15.11.2022, 01.03.2024 und 10.12.2024.
Diese FsB gelten für alle Studierenden, die sich ab dem Wintersemester 2019/2020 und bis einschließlich Sommersemester 2025 für einen Masterstudiengang mit dem Fach Wirtschaftsmathematik an der Universität Bielefeld eingeschrieben haben und dieses Fach bis zum Ende des Wintersemesters 2027/2028 abschließen.
Mit Beginn des Sommersemesters 2028 gelten auch für diese Studierenden die Fächerspezifischen Bestimmungen des Faches " Mathematical Economics" vom 28.02.2025.

Hinweis: Alle Studierenden, die nicht nach den aktuellen FsB studieren, können vor dem oben genannten Zeitraum gemäß der Bestimmungen in Ziffer 10 (3) der Fächerspezifischen Bestimmungen vom 28.02.2025 nach diesen neuen Bestimmungen studieren, wenn sie einen entsprechenden Antrag stellen. Sollten die Studierenden diese Möglichkeit nicht nutzen, werden sie ab dem oben genannten Semester in die neuen FsB ohne Antrag überführt.

International Track

This degree programme has an international track. This means that the curriculum can be studied entirely in German or entirely in English within the standard period of study. Length and scope of studies

The standard period of studies is 4 semesters. Information on studying part time.

The studies Mathematical Economics comprise 120 credit points.

Access to the Master programme is granted to those who can provide evidence that they have a first university degree which has a standard period of study of at least six semesters, qualifies for exercising a profession and is in accordance with the subject-specific regulations.

In any case, please read the specific Admission requirements for this Master's programme in the Subject-specific regulations.

Degrees from accredited Bachelor programmes at German ‘Berufsakademien’ are equivalent to Bachelor degrees from universities.

Applicants with a university degree obtained abroad are granted access provided that the degree they have acquired is deemed sufficient for this purpose and they can provide evidence of the required language skills.
