Linguistics as a minor subject covers the theoretical basis of the major subject. As in the major subject, students study one of the three profiles, but to a lesser extent.
The range of subjects covered by the linguistics programme at Bielefeld University is very broad. That’s what convinced me to study here. I also made friends quickly during the freshers’ week and got to know lots of fellow students on campus. In the future, I’d like to work in technical writing and, for example, write user manuals for complex technical devices.
