The Bachelor's degree programme in "Sustainable Chemistry'' provides students with sound chemical and scientific knowledge and enables them to help shape the transformation to a sustainable way of life. In addition to the basics of a Chemistry bachelors degree programme, contents include the basic principles of sustainability, the avoidance of waste and emissions, sustainable polymer materials, recycling management, catalysis and biocatalysis. Ethical issues and the responsibility of Chemistry in society are also addressed. At the same time, key competences such as independent work, scientific discussion and reporting, resilience and interdisciplinary teamwork are promoted.
