Curriculum Vitae

Mr Serke was a visiting professor at the University of Vienna.
He previously held a professorship at the Martin Luther University Halle-Wittenberg.
After studying "Integrated Special Education" at Bielefeld University and completing a traineeship as a teacher for special educational needs and teaching at the Laborschule [laboratoy school] in Bielefeld, he was employed as an academic co-worker in the BMBF project BiLieF (https://www.uni-bielefeld.de/fakultaeten/erziehungswissenschaft/bifoki-bilief/bilief/).
He was honoured with the Aloys Fischer Primary School Research Award of the German Society for Educational Science (DGfE) and the Dietrich Eggert Foundation Academic Awards for School Inclusion for his doctoral thesis on the well-being of learners with special educational needs (https://www.klinkhardt.de/verlagsprogramm/2279.html).
Since 2010, Mr Serke has also worked as a moderator in teacher and head teacher training.

- Learning and life situations of learners with and without risk factors, including experiences of poverty and special educational needs in the area of learning
