Reading, not least literary texts, is an indispensable activity in any ESL/EFL classroom. Departing from this notion, we will comb the US-American literary landscape for valuable texts. What makes an adequate, appropriate, interesting read? What is new, relevant, necessary, underexplored? What are topics and titles that enable worthwhile, stimulating reading encounters and fruitful class discussions?
Students' suggestions are welcome and encouraged!
