London is one of the most famous metropolises. This course will look at London from the seventeenth through to the twentieth century. Various texts by various authors will supply us with multiple perspectives on the city. We will analyse fictional as well as non-fictional texts and personal narratives as well as more general accounts. The texts range from historic events like the plague and the Great Fire of London to life on the streets.
All texts must be read by the beginning of the course, please start reading in time.
