Postkoloniale Perspektiven und regionale Bezüge: Der Film Der vermessene Mensch
Der Spielfilm Der vermessene Mensch (Lars Kraume, 2023) brachte die gewalttätigen und rassistischen Aspekte der deutschen Kolonialgeschichte einem breiteren Publikum nahe. Aufgrund seiner weißen Erzählperspektive wurde er äußerst kontrovers diskutiert. In diesem Seminar werden zum einen die Perspektive des Films analysiert und Gegennarrative diskutiert, zum anderen Bezüge der Kolonialzeit zur Region Ostwestfalen-Lippe, die die Filmerzählung birgt, herausgearbeitet: Von Völkerschauen über die Mission bis zur Zwangsarbeit für deutsche Firmen. Dafür werden Dokumente und Berichte aus der Kolonialzeit recherchiert und kritisch hinterfragt.Unterrichtssprache ist Deutsch.
