In der Geschlechterforschung ist die Aushandlung um Konzepte und Analysen zur Materialität von Geschlecht in den vergangenen Jahren wieder vermehrt in den Fokus gerückt worden. Dabei stellen sich Fragen nach Gemeinsamkeiten oder Verschiedenheiten von Materialitätsbegriffen und Materialismuskonzepten – ebenso wie Fragen nach dem Zusammenhang von Geschlechtlichkeit und Geschlechterverhältnissen. Im Seminar werden wir uns mit ausgewählten Ansätzen zu Materialität befassen, die in Bezug auf Geschlechterkonzepte relevant erscheinen können. Ziel des Seminars wird es sein, durch die Diskussion der Seminarlektüre das heterogene Feld der Geschlechterforschung zu beleuchten. Der Blick auf verschiedene Standpunkte zur Materialität von Geschlecht wird die gemeinsame Gesprächsgrundlage bilden, um die aktuellen Debatten einzuordnen.
