Course description:
The primary goal of this course is to introduce advanced students in economics to economic analyses of innovation. Coursework will provide students with a solid understanding of theoretical models of innovation, with a particular emphasis of firms’ incentives to innovate. Topics include the link and interplay between incentives to innovate and the market structure product and process innovations, and technological spillover.Preliminary outlook:

Depending on the curriculum of your study there will be either an exam of 60 minutes in the upcoming semester break or a module exam together with the lecture ‘market and industrial dynamics’ in the semester break after the summer term.Literature:
