Praxistheoretische Ansätze beschäftigen sich mit den materiellen und symbolischen Bedingungen des Handelns der Akteur_innen in der sozialen Welt: Eine sich für Praktiken interessierende Perspektive fordert, so Hörning, dazu auf „weder die Subjekte und deren Primärerfahrung zu heroisieren, noch die Strukturen und Kulturen samt ihrer Texte, Regeln und Diskurse zu substanzialisieren. Stattdessen erscheint die Praxis jetzt als Scharnier zwischen Subjekt und Objekt“ {Hörning 2004 #924: 20}. Im Seminar sollen grundlegende Annahmen praxeologischer Zugänge erarbeitet und in ihrer Relevanz für eine erziehungswissenschaftliche Empirie, Theoriebildung und Grundlegung pädagogischen Handelns befragt werden.
