In diesem Seminar beschäftigen wir uns mit verschiedenen Aspekten der amtlichen Statistik. Dazu gehört neben einem historischen Rückblick zunächst ein Blick auf die rechtlichen Grundlagen amtlicher Statistik. Wir beleuchten die institutionelle Organisation der amtlichen Statistik und verschaffen uns einen Überblick über die verfügbaren Statistiken. Ein weiterer Schwerpunkt wird auf der Frage liegen, wie sich die amtliche Statistik ihre Informationen beschafft und wie deren Qualität einzuschätzen ist.
Geplante Arbeitsformen: Gruppen- und Plenumsarbeit
Lernziele und Kompetenzen
Die Studierenden lernen die Geschichte und den gegenwärtigen Umfang amtlicher Statistik kennen. Sie erwerben die Kompetenz, amtliche Statistik kritisch und effizient für eigene Fragestellungen zu nutzen.
