Auch in Bielefeld: Keine Geschichte ohne Quellen. Was aber sind 'Quellen'? Das Seminar setzt sich aus zwei Teilen zusammen: Zunächst werden wir uns den wichtigsten Quellengattungen nähern, die sich oftmals in schriftlicher Form präsentieren, aber auch nichtschriftlich sein können. Dabei wird neben den praktischen Fähigkeiten des Suchens und Findens der Quellen auch Kenntnisse über den Quellenwert und die Quellennutzung vermittelt. Um dies zu erreichen, ist es unerlässlich Fertigkeiten der historischen Hilfswissenschaften zu erlernen.
