230496 Metaphern für Literatur und Literaturgeschichte (S) (WiSe 2021/2022)

Präsenz-Seminar (wenn die Pandemie-Situation dies erlaubt).

Welche Rolle spielen Metaphern beim Sprechen über Literatur, über ihr Entstehen und ihre Wirkung, über ihre Programmatik und ihre Periodisierung? Worin liegt ihre Leistung und wo sind ihre Grenzen – vor allem, wenn es um literaturwissenschaftliche Sprache geht? Ist es notwendig, uns des metaphorischen Hintergrunds auch bei Begriffen zu versichern, die wir in der Regel nicht mehr als Metaphern wahrnehmen, wie z.B. Text, Inspiration, Avantgarde, Blütezeit, Florileg, Frühromantik?
Untersucht werden in diesem Seminar sowohl einzelne Metaphernfelder als auch ihre Anwendungsbereiche im Hinblick auf Autoren, Gattungen und Epochen. Die Teilnehmenden dürfen gern ihre spezifischen Sprachkompetenzen in die Seminararbeit einbringen.
