Diese Vorlesung soll in die technischen Grundlagen der Computernetze
einführen und detailliert die gängigsten Protokolle des Internet
vermitteln: Ethernet, TCP, IPv4 und IPv6.Begleitend zur Vorlesung wird das RVS-Labor als Tutorium angeboten (Belegnummer
392206). Im Laborraum C0-259 stehen Laptop-Arbeitsplätze zur Verfügung
um den praktischen Umgang mit Netzwerktechnologien zu lernen.
Dabei soll in Kleingruppen (2-4 Studierende) an den Laptops gearbeitet
werden. Nach einer kurzen (!) Einführung in die grundlegende Benutzung
von Linux sollen die Gruppen in selbstständiger Arbeit die
Netzwerkkonfiguration der Laptops und anderer bereitgestellter Computer
vornehmen um den Stoff der Vorlesung durch Anwenden zu vertiefen.

Um am begleitenden Labor teilzunehmen ist der Umgang mit Linux hilfreich.
Es wird die Bereitschaft vorausgesetzt technische englische Text zu
lesen. Englisch zu sprechen oder Texte auf Englisch zu verfassen wird
nicht erwartet.
Hilfestellung beim Einstieg in Linux und beim Verstehen englischer Texte
kann gegeben werden.
